REGISTRATION

Project Peak 2019 Registration is now open!

Registration

Participants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Once registration is full we will update this page with a waitlist.

Payment

The total cost for Project Peak is $385. Once you complete the above registration form, you will be directed to the payment portal to finalize your registration.

Cancellation: We will process refunds (minus the 2-4% credit card charge) up until June 30th. There are no refunds after this date.

Scholarships

If the cost of this trip is prohibiting you from participating, please consider applying for a Project Peak Scholarship. The CAART office sponsors a limited amount of need-based scholarships for students who qualify. We will hold the spots for the scholarships we can provide, but note that if you do not qualify for a need-based scholarship and registration becomes full, you are not guaranteed a spot on the trip and would be added to the waitlist.

To apply for a scholarship, please select “Apply for need-based scholarship” and answer the related questions when you fill out the registration form.

Due to high demand for the Project Peak program, we are making scholarship decisions by June 30th. We must receive your scholarship application before June 30th to be considered.

Confirmation

Once your registration and payment is received you will receive a confirmation email from projpeak@gmu.edu. A follow-up Welcome Packet will be emailed to your Mason student email (nedID@masonlive.gmu.edu) shortly after we receive your registration. In this information packet, you will find liability forms that must be filled out and returned to our office by Monday, July 15th.

During the trips, trip leaders and participants will be cooking their own food. Please be sure to list any dietary restrictions or food allergies and their severity on your forms. This will enable us to plan ahead for meals!

Students may be required to find their own way back to campus is dismissed from the trip at their own expense.

Personal Property

All meals, snacks, and plenty of water are supplied during the trip, however, you may bring money for items such as souvenirs, or snacks and keep track of your own funds. The CAART office is not responsible for any lost or stolen items or money, and we will strongly encourage students to leave valuables and breakables (like electronics) at home.

Cell Phone Policy

Cell phones distract from the group learning process and are therefore not permitted to be used on the trip. In case of emergencies, instructors carry cell phones and will periodically communicate with the CAART office. If a family needs to get in touch with their student (ONLY IN THE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY), we will provide them with the contact information of the Program Coordinator and the Center for Academic, Advising, Retention, and Transitions office.
